The Philosophy
I
am a great believer in coaching each golfer on an individual
basis, whether they are scratch or high handicap players.
There isn't the 'Barney Puttick' method, as such, because I
don't think there is just one correct way to swing a club.
There is, however, an ideal way for each individual.
Once a golfer has played for 3 -
5 years, he / she has probably made over 50,000 swings! In
my experience the key is to mould what is there, rather than
starting all over again.
Most
golfers often have better swings than they think. Working
with elite golfers has helped my club coaching no end. I
have learnt that the problems in many cases stems from faults at
address. Working from 'the ground up' I look to improve
each students grasp of their fundamentals. |
Mid Herts
At Mid Herts we have a three bay
practice area, an open practice ground with accuracy greens and a
practice bunker.
I am
available for Inner Caddy and playing lessons where we can look at your game on the
course. I will also be able to give you pointers on course
management and scoring.
Most
Professionals feel they could improve amateur scores by Caddying for
them, Colin Montgomerie has written a book on the subject.
I am always happy to do playing sessions and advise on course
management.
